Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Brownwood, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,020 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: CCU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Charting system experience required Description: Seeking a Critical Care Unit RN with expertise in managing critically ill patients. Responsibilities include the management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Skills required include monitoring pulmonary artery lines and managing IV insulin protocols. Experience with titrating cardiac drips and vasoactive drips is essential. Demonstrated ability to interpret arterial blood gases is necessary. Candidates should have experience in caring for ventilated patients. Experience in high flow nasal cannula management and procedural sedation administration is key. Surgical skills such as sheath removal and care for surgical wounds with drains are needed. Ability to assist with chest tube insertion/removal required. The unit has a patient ratio of 2:1 during days, nights, and weekends. Interdisciplinary support services are available, including respiratory services and pharmacy. Knowledge of infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions is crucial. Must be prepared for mandatory drug screening upon arrival. Travel experience is preferred. Previous permanent staff must be gone for one year before returning as a traveler. Clinicians must have plans in place to complete required lab items in a timely manner.
