Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible
for leading retail sales and production operation, related support
services of processing and merchandising, overseeing customer
experience, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations
and stewardship of Goodwill West Texas’ stores in support of the
Mission of the organization. Provide oversight to store operations
in a manner that develops and maintains a positive retail image
while accomplishing store goals. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Two years
related business sales, management or process management experience
required Degree in business or another related field preferred Must
be able to create and analyze financial reports and work within
budget constraints QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIAL SKILLS /KNOWLEDGE:
Valid Texas Driver’s license and good driving record Ability to
maintain processes, company standards and initiatives Ability to
run virtual meetings with store managers on a regular basis
Requires ability to maintain privileged and confidential
information Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solve practical problems; exercise judgment, make
decisions and use discretion in the performance of duties Ability
to successfully resolve employee and/or customer complaint issues
Ability to operate a variety of software: Power Bi, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, etc. Ability to produce quality documents, establish
priorities and meet deadlines Excellent managerial skills and
ability to supervise and work with people Ability to communicate
appropriately, professionally, and effectively with employees,
co-workers, and others Ability to follow and enforce policies and
procedures of Goodwill-West Texas Ability to travel on regular
basis to GW territory locations visiting all GW stores in region at
the direction of the VP DGR Ability to understand and analyze data,
implanting changes to achieve the expectation RESPONSIBILITIES &
DUTIES Responsible for providing leadership, developing, and
implementing a plan for sustainable growth, and managing the
division to provide top & bottom-line growth. (E) Accountable for
retail sales initiatives, employee ratios, pricing structure, floor
throughput, and retail marketing strategy with executive
leadership. (E) Responsible for reevaluating metrics and
appropriate tracking of sales, production, and salvage data and
adjusts accordingly to meet or exceed goals for the region.
Accountable for the merchandising, production, and sales volume for
all Goodwill stores in region. Support and consult the store
manager to ensure consistent merchandising, DGR throughput, new
goods strategies, quality, production, safety, and customer
experience standards. (E) Support and consult with store manager on
proper training and development of supporting store management with
a strong focus in production, e-commerce, sales floor
merchandising, business operations, and safety procedures. (E)
Consult with VP DGR and the director of human resources to hire,
train and coach store manager in the areas of store merchandising,
operations, production, e-commerce, financial management, employee
engagement, customer experience & service, and in evaluating
employee performance. (E) Support and consult with store manager to
ensure all employees receive appropriate training and ongoing
education regarding safety, customer service and job skills
Responsible to implement and conduct on-site trainings and
information to store manager about relative issues such as sales,
production, merchandising, customers service, mission services
training, etc. (E) Support store manager with Director of Mission
Services to handle needs of employees with barriers or disabled
employees to become self-sufficient, working members of the
community. Accountable to uphold a visually appealing,
well-organized, and clean stores that will enhance the customer
experience in partnership with store manager. (E) Consult and
support with VP DGR in the planning and implementation of store
remodel projects for store and production room layouts. (E)
Accountable to ensure inventory, fixtures and equipment are
safeguarded from theft and damage Responsible for conducting
quality control inspections and ensuring deficiencies found are
corrected to prevent further recurrences. (E) Accountable to
consult and support store manager in Kaizen methods in all
production rooms to promote more efficient processing. (E)
Accountable to operate within all regulatory guidelines, GW
policies/procedures & Mission Services. (E) Consult with VP DGR on
developing and implementing new merchandising techniques to
increase sales per square foot. (E) Accountable to support store
manager with compliance of all store operating procedures. (E)
Responsible to meet budgetary guidelines for region. (E)
Troubleshoot problems and issues associated with employees,
procedures, and systems. Promptly report any serious issues to your
supervisor. (E) Maintain and promote good morale and a safe and
healthy work environment. Work required and requested hours, days,
and duties to include some weekends, nights, and holidays: fill in
for store manager when necessary. (E) Performs other duties and
responsibilities as assigned.
