Essential Functions Summary: The Paint Helper will be responsible for assisting the paint department with various tasks. This position will assist with the preparation, application, and cleanup of commercial paint projects. Accountabilities: - Assist with the execution of painting under the supervision of more experienced staff - Perform basic paint skills such as masking, application, scraping, sanding, and cleaning - Make sure each building is sealed and weatherproof - Examine any painted surfaces for defects and help touch up or correct any imperfections as needed - Maintain tools and equipment used while also maintaining a clean workspace - Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE, such as gloves, goggles, masks, and respirators, to ensure a safe working environment - Other job-related responsibilities as assigned. Required Knowledge/ Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required) - Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work. - Ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position - Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels in a professional, respectful manner - Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds - Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day - Prioritize safety when performing tasks and producing a quality product in an efficient and productive manner to meet production schedule - Ability to reason and apply principles of logic to a wide range of factors when monitoring and working on jobs - Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks. - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance. - Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day. - Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds. - Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
