Job Description:
Description Job Summary: The Electrician will be responsible for
installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and
equipment. You will ensure that all electrical components and
systems meet industry standards and safety regulations. Essential
Responsibilities and Duties: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and
repair electrical systems, including motors, pumps, generators,
switchgear, and wiring in oil and gas facilities. Perform
preventive maintenance and regular inspections of electrical
systems to ensure optimal performance. Interpret and work from
blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Conduct
electrical testing and calibration of equipment using
industry-standard tools. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory
requirements, ensuring all work complies with industry standards
(e.g., NEC, IEC, OSHA). Collaborate with engineers, project
managers, and other team members to execute projects on time and
within budget. Assist in the development and implementation of
electrical safety procedures and work permits. Diagnose electrical
problems and propose cost-effective solutions. Maintain accurate
records of maintenance activities, repairs, and electrical
inspections. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety
standards at all times. Qualifications Qualifications and Education
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical
training or certifications in electrical work preferred. Minimum of
3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably
within the oil and gas sector. Valid electrician’s license or
certification (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician) preferred.
Proficiency with electrical tools, instruments, and testing
equipment. Familiarity with industry standards such as NEC, IEC,
and OSHA. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work
independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and
organizational skills. Willingness to work in remote locations and
adaptable to challenging work environments. Familiarity with
electrical systems in oil platforms, pipelines, or refinery
settings. Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule or on-call
when required. Work Environment: This role is situated within an
outdoor environment and regularly will be conducted in various
weather conditions. This is a full-time position with working hours
scheduled during various hours. Physical Demands: The physical
demands described here are representative of those that must be met
by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of
this job. While executing job responsibilities, the employee will
be required to engage regularly in standing, walking, sitting,
manual manipulation of objects, tools, or controls, reaching,
climbing stairs, and verbal communication. The employee will also
be expected to have the ability to climb ladders, work from an
elevated location, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and
crawl. Additionally, the employee will need to be able to
frequently and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds. Travel: Daily
