Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to promote resident independence and dignity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
--- Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care for any residents assigned
--- Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
--- Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
--- Answer call lights in a timely manner
--- Assist or feed residents
--- Keep residents clean and dry by providing toileting or incontinent care
--- Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
--- Understand and adhere to the guidelines of "Residents Rights" and assure resident safety
--- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required
--- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
--- Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
--- Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
--- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
--- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents

Preferred:
--- CPR Certified

2nd Shift 2pm-10pm and night shift 10pm-6am
