We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Cisco, TX. Key Responsibilities: Medical Care: Provide comprehensive care for small animals, including conducting wellness exams, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, and providing preventive care (vaccinations, flea/tick control, etc.). Surgical Expertise: Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety. Diagnostic Services: Utilize diagnostic tools and laboratory work, including radiographs, ultrasounds, and lab tests, to assist in diagnosing and treating animal health issues. Client Education: Effectively communicate with pet owners regarding their pet's health, treatment options, and follow-up care. Ensure they are educated on preventive care and overall wellness strategies. Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and the rest of the team to provide top-tier care in a cooperative and team-oriented environment. Emergency Care: Assist in handling emergency cases, providing immediate and life-saving care when needed. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, ensuring they are up-to-date and comply with all relevant regulations. Continual Learning: Stay current with new veterinary techniques, trends, and research to continually improve service quality and expand knowledge. Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in Texas (or the ability to obtain one). At least 1 year of clinical veterinary experience is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions and diseases in small animals. Experience performing common surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries. Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a team-focused attitude.
