This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to rotate through multiple L&D functions, including triage, antepartum, labor, circulating, and transition care. Candidates must be prepared to work one holiday (eve and day) during the assignment. Location Midland, TX 79701?6499 Assignment Details - Start Date: January 26, 2026 - Duration: 16 weeks (minimum 13 weeks considered) - Shift: Night shift, 3×12?hour shifts (19:00–07:00) - Block Scheduling: Yes - Charting System: Cerner Required Certifications - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS - NRP - Preferred: AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, FHM Required Experience - Ability to rotate through: - Triage - Antepartum - Labor - Circulating - Transition care - No postpartum responsibilities - Strong clinical assessment and fetal monitoring skills - Experience in high?acuity L&D settings preferred Role Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor and delivery continuum - Support patients through high?risk and routine obstetric situations - Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams - Maintain accurate documentation within Cerner - Ensure adherence to safety protocols, evidence?based practice, and patient?centered care - Participate in holiday coverage as required Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a confident, adaptable L&D nurse with strong communication skills and the ability to manage rapidly changing clinical situations.
