Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: Snyder, TX Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,160 to $1,320 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $29.00 - $33.00/Hourly. Summary: We are looking for a dedicated occupational therapy assistant to support the occupational therapist with routine daily tasks at the practice and the treatment of patients. The occupational therapy assistant's responsibilities include clerical tasks associated with daily operations, administering treatments developed by the occupational therapist, and maintaining treatment areas, equipment, and supplies. Responsibilities: Treatment Implementation: Executes specialized therapy plans designed by the OT, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination. Adaptive Equipment: Instructs patients and families on how to use special tools like reachers, mobility aids, or modified kitchen utensils. Monitoring and Documentation: Records detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns, reporting these findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed. Education and Support: Provides emotional encouragement to patients and trains caregivers on how to assist with home programs. Requirements Requirements: 2 years OTA experience in Long Term Care (LTC) setting Required. TX or compact license Required. DOR experience Highly Preferred.
