ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Abilene, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday with call and late days as required • Provide surgical support for Neuro/Spine, Ortho/trauma, and General/robotics/trauma procedures • Craniotomy and burr hole experience required (HARD STOP requirement) • Patient ratio of 1:1 across all shifts • 40 hours of orientation required • 2 years of OR experience required • Previous charge experience preferred • Travel experience preferred • Required certifications: ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, BLS • Must have experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System • Experience needed in various procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomy, spinal fusions, joint replacements, and trauma cases • Work with patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Allscripts charting system experience preferred • Must complete mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing • Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting offer • Hard document deadline: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date • Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation Facility: This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical department specializing in neurosurgical, orthopedic, and general surgical procedures with advanced robotic capabilities.
