Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Brownwood, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,942 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Brownwood, Texas, 76801! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 5-6 - Charting system experience Description: We are seeking a qualified Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will have experience in a telemetry setting. Strong skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential. Telemetry remote monitoring skills are required. Experience with rapid response and code teams is preferred. Candidates should be proficient in feeding tube care and management. Experience with orthopedic trauma, mastectomy, and surgical drain management is necessary. The RN will be responsible for telemetry on-unit monitoring and post-cardiac procedures. Management of IV insulin protocols and heparin protocols is expected. Candidates should have experience with fluid and blood product administration. They should also be experienced in managing central and peripheral lines, including PICC line management. Experience with code drills and monitoring Vasoactive drips is required. Knowledge of post-stroke care, total joint replacement, and chest tube management is necessary. Familiarity with respiratory support, such as BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula, is important. The RN must adhere to isolation precautions and proficiently conduct wound care. Interdisciplinary support is available, including pharmacy, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit has a daily census of approximately 35 patients. Candidates must comply with drug screening protocols upon arrival. Travel experience is preferred, and candidates should have a plan for completing required labs within the timeframe.
