Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team, focused on providing top-tier rehabilitative care in a variety of settings, including inpatient, home health, and hospice environments. This role is perfect for passionate individuals who aim to help patients regain independence after illness, injury, or surgery. As a key member of our therapy team, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to implement treatment plans and contribute to the patient's recovery and progress. Assist occupational therapists in evaluating patients' medical conditions and functional status Implement therapy plans and strategies as determined by the lead therapist Monitor patient progress and provide updates to the occupational therapist Educate patients and family members about therapeutic procedures and home exercises Ensure therapy interventions are delivered safely and effectively Maintain patient treatment records and document patient responses Ability to follow treatment plans and instructions from an occupational therapist Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Knowledge of therapeutic practices and techniques Basic understanding of patient care and safety regulations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified by NBCOT as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Licensed or eligible for licensure in applicable state
