Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in patient rehabilitation, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in delivering exceptional care to patients in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, assisting them in overcoming challenges and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a compassionate approach and a commitment to achieving patient-specific therapeutic goals, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans designed to help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Document patient progress and report the results of patient assessments to the supervising therapist. Help patients use therapeutic equipment, such as special chairs or lifts, and guide them through exercises specified in their treatment plans. Ensure treatment areas are prepared before sessions and cleaned after. Educate patients and families about what to do after treatment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions Basic knowledge of healthcare and patient services Physical stamina and dexterity Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Valid state license or certification as required
