Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in patient rehabilitation and home health services, is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Coordinator to join our interdisciplinary health care team. This role focuses on the assessment, treatment, and management of patient wounds across our network of facilities. The successful candidate will implement wound care protocols, educate staff and patients on preventive measures, and ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained in accordance with both facility policies and compliance requirements. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient wounds and create treatment plans. Implement and monitor wound care protocols and patient care plans. Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff about wound management and prevention strategies. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality and continuity of care. Maintain accurate records and report on treatment outcomes. Stay updated with advancements in wound care techniques and technologies. Proficiency in wound care and healing processes Ability to educate and lead others Strong organizational and communicative abilities Competence in using healthcare databases and scheduling software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) preferred
