Job Description Job Description Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Abilene, TX Status Fulltime As an Emergency Department RN, you’ll be at the heart of high-acuity, fast-paced care. You’ll serve patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of illnesses and injuries—some critical, some urgent—all demanding adaptability, prioritization, and compassion. Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Anticipate, prioritize, and adapt to unpredictable volumes and acuity surges. Educate patients and families about care, treatment, and follow-up. Uphold nursing standards and participate in improvement initiatives. Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or ADN; BSN preferred). Active RN license (TX or Compact State). Certifications: BLS required ACLS prior to completion of orientation TNCC within 18 months of hire ENPC and/or PALS prior to completion of orientation NIH Stroke Scale prior to completion of orientation Skills & Attributes: Initiative & urgency in care delivery Adaptability in a constantly changing environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
