Job Description Job Description Manager, Nursing Services –
Labor & Delivery Full-Time | Days Position Summary The Manager of
Nursing Services – Labor & Delivery provides 24/7 leadership and
operational oversight for the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring safe,
high-quality, and family-centered care. This role is responsible
for clinical excellence, staff development, regulatory compliance,
and alignment with organizational goals while fostering a culture
of collaboration and accountability. Key Responsibilities Lead,
mentor, and develop nursing staff within the Labor & Delivery unit
Ensure delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered obstetric care
Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and
patient flow Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and
state regulatory standards Collaborate with physicians, midwives,
anesthesia, neonatology, and interdisciplinary teams Manage unit
performance metrics including quality outcomes, patient
satisfaction, and safety indicators Support budget management,
productivity, and resource utilization Drive quality improvement
initiatives and patient safety programs Participate in recruitment,
onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff retention efforts
Serve as a clinical and operational resource during high-risk
deliveries and emergencies Qualifications Required: Active
Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
( Will need to have within 12 mos.) Minimum of 2 years of Labor &
Delivery nursing experience Prior leadership experience (Charge
Nurse, Supervisor, or Nurse Manager) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills Proven
ability to manage change in a fast-paced clinical setting Solid
understanding of obstetric quality measures and safety standards
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments Data-driven
