the Position Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Profession:
Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Hospital Duration: 13
Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year
preferred License: Current license required Certifications: BLS,
CCC-SLP required Must-Have: Experience with ventilator-dependent
patients, thickening agents, and trach/vent management. Preferred
experience with Epic charting system. Description: Start date as
soon as possible, but flexible depending on candidate availability.
Schedule will be Sunday to Thursday, but open to discussion in the
interview. The daily census will be 8-10 patients with a mix of
adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support will be provided
by various teams including physical therapy, respiratory services,
and social services. Key skills required include conducting bedside
swallow evaluations and modifying diet orders. Candidates should
have strong knowledge of dysphagia management and rehabilitation
strategies. Additional experience with traumatic brain injury and
cerebrovascular accidents is preferred. Candidates will be expected
to engage in patient and family education throughout the care
