Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to
join our diverse team of healthcare professionals. In this role,
you will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of speech,
language, voice, and fluency disorders, empowering patients from a
multiplicity of backgrounds to improve their communication
abilities and quality of life. By working collaboratively with both
facility-based and home-based teams, you will deliver consistent,
high-quality care tailored to the specific needs of patients
following our continuum of care model. Assess and diagnose patients
with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Plan
and administer appropriate treatment programs, providing direct
therapy services and patient education. Collaborate with medical,
nursing, and therapeutic teams to ensure comprehensive care
delivery. Educate patients and family members about communication
strategies and coping mechanisms. Maintain accurate and
confidential patient records, evaluate patient progress and adjust
treatments as necessary. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings
and contribute to treatment planning discussions. Stay current with
new treatments, techniques, and technologies in speech pathology.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and
written communication abilities. Proven ability to work both
independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience
with electronic health records. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Current state licensure or certification as a
Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
