Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is
working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in
Brownwood, Texas, 76801! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 10 Hours (06:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of
experience in the specialty required License: Texas RN License or
Compact Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Travel
experience strongly preferred Description: 4/13 start preferred;
may consider 4/27. Experience with MedHost and GE MacLab is
preferred. Day shift is approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. End of
shift could vary by an hour or so. On-call requirements are
mandatory. Candidates must live more than 150 miles away from the
facility or live in a metropolitan area. Flu vaccine is required
with medical or religious exemptions only. Previous charge
experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios and
charting systems is required. Charting system experience with
Allscripts is preferred. Community hospital experience is a plus.
Skills required include: Electrophysiology lab experience.
Transesophageal echocardiogram skills. Diagnostic cardiac
catheterization and interventional cardiac catheterization skills.
Pre- and post-procedure care experience. Cardiac stent placement
and diagnostic catheterizations for adults. IABP placement/removal
and Impella insertion. Ventricular assist device insertion.
Pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal. Percutaneous
coronary interventions and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz
monitoring. Left heart catheterization and right heart
catheterization proficiency. Renal artery stent placement and
carotid angiography experience. Angioplasty and upper/lower
extremity angiography skills. Procedural sedation
administration/monitoring and use of reversal agents. Monitoring
and infection prevention skills. Knowledge in
interpretation/management of dysrhythmias. Proficiency in isolation
precautions and PPE. Experience with sheath removal/monitoring and
topical hemostasis. Familiarity with vascular closure systems.
Ability to obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG and perform cardioversion.
Competence in circulating procedures. Unit details include a focus
on adult and geriatric patient age groups. Additional support teams
available include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services,
interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response
teams, and pharmacy. Responsible for diagnoses such as STEMI, ACS,
PAD, CAD, and arrhythmia management. Special procedures performed
include RH, LHC, ICD implants, pacemakers, Impella, balloon pump,
and IVUS. Experience with specific medical equipment is desired.
Candidates must ensure adherence to all compliance requirements.
Drug screening is mandatory upon arrival, including screening for
marijuana. A positive result will lead to automatic cancellation.
Completion of necessary lab items within the specified time frame
