the Position Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist - Outpatient
Neuro Rehab Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty:
Speech-Language Pathology Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year
of outpatient experience preferred License: TX License required
Certifications: LSVT, BLS, CCC-SLP Must-Have: - Experience with
adult outpatient care - Knowledge of CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)
and other neurological conditions - Skills in dysphagia and voice
disorders Description: Outpatient Speech Language Pathologist in a
Neuro Rehabilitation environment. Candidates with travel experience
are preferred but we are open to discussing opportunities with
those who have prior outpatient experience. The clinician will work
with adults and geriatrics with various neurological diagnoses
including CVA, Parkinson's Disease, concussion, voice disorders,
dysphagia, oncology (head and neck cancer), dementia, Alzheimer's,
and multiple sclerosis. Daily patient census ranges from 9 to 10.
Utilizes various skills including bedside swallow evaluations,
memory aides, and implementation of functional maintenance
programs. Must educate patients and families about treatment plans
and provide effective communication aids. Familiarity with charting
systems, preferably Epic, is beneficial. Candidates must have the
ability to perform assessments, evaluations, and develop plans of
care based on patient needs. Collaboration with interdisciplinary
support is expected to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare documentation processes is
