Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Midland, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,504 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP NIHSS AWHONN Advanced AWHONN Intermediate FHM Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Experience in Labor and Delivery Charting System Experience preferred Description: Flexible start dates will be considered, with a requirement to begin on a Monday. A minimum commitment of 13 weeks is required. The candidate must work one holiday (both Eve and Day). The RN will rotate through various roles including triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition. Postpartum duties are not included. Working with a patient ratio of 2:1 during days, nights, and weekends is expected. Experience in high-risk antepartum and telemetry interpretation is essential. Candidates should be skilled in insulin drips, forceps/vacuum extraction, and management of hemorrhage/shock. Responsibilities include conducting sterile vaginal exams and non-stress tests. Candidates must demonstrate competency in triaging obstetrical patients. The use of external fetal heart monitoring and internal fetal monitoring is required. Placement and calibration of intrauterine pressure catheters must be performed. There is a need for recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Administering blood and blood products as well as starting and maintaining IVs is necessary. Use of various medications such as antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, and Pitocin is expected. Assist in high-risk deliveries and circulate for cesarean sections. Recovery from cesarean sections is required. Candidates must also assess infant care processes such as APGAR scores, thermoregulation, and identification. Support for breastfeeding and lactation is part of the role. Foley catheter insertion and management are included in the expected responsibilities. Care for fundus, lochia, and perineum is necessary. The candidate will need to implement isolation precautions and vaccine administration. An ability to work with neonates, infants, and adults is necessary.
