Job Description:

SUMMARYActively participates in all aspects of customer service byservicing the retail stores and their customers by repairing or replacing aluminum, vinyl, or wood windows, and the corresponding accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Travels throughout assigned area toservice existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigate complaints, conduct reliability tests on current and prospective products
  • Develops and maintains excellent customer relationships byinvestigating and resolving customer problems with product quality, installation, or maintenance requirements
  • Ensures quality customer service through personal interaction with contractor and retail customers
  • Independently analyzes assigned work orders to determine and plan most efficient travel schedule to properly service retailand commercial customers
  • Build, repair, and install window screens as necessary to properly satisfy customer and management requirements
  • Repair and install glass window replacements as necessary. Makes service order calls as necessary to assigned retail storeor vendor of the product
  • Establish and maintain a home-closing walk through procedure, ensuring that all windows operate as required and appearanceproperly satisfies customer expectations
  • Documents and tracks a daily activity log of service and repair transactions that are made. Reports activity log on a weeklybasis to the assigned supervisor or manager
  • Tracks and maintains expenses related to position. Provides reports to management as required regarding these expenses
  • Tracks and maintains equipment and tools that are provided for the position
  • Establishes and maintains proper relationships with product vendors and vendor employees
  • Works with and through corporate, regional and store management and employees to facilitate efficient customer service andresponse for product with residential and commercial customers
  • Supports all company promotional activities with appropriate training, staffing, merchandising, or selling assistance
  • Uses in-depth knowledge of product application to assist customers in selecting product. Coordinates product training ordemonstrations for customers as needed
  • Recommends additions, or deletions, of product and merchandise to be sold in retail stores based on customer input and marketactivity
  • Coordinates efforts within assigned area to assist in achieving store, regional and company sales and profitability goals
  • Establishes and maintains professional work appearance including wearing a company uniform and business card
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures while carrying out the responsibilities of the position
  • Attends trade shows, store or regional meetings, and training sessions as requiredQUALIFICATIONS
    • Associate s degree from two-year college; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinationof education and experience
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, anddecimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs and charts. Must be able to perform and comprehend basic business and financial calculations
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practicalproblems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • Ability to utilize company point-of-sale system (MAC21), MicrosoftWord & Excel, and other 3rd party software applications at an intermediate level
    • Basic and intermediate knowledge of building products and local building codes preferred WORK AVAILABILITY
      • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by management
      • Must be regularly available and willing to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per weekor such other hours per day or hours per week as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
      • Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the employer determines isnecessary or desirable to meet business needs
      • Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessaryor desirable to meet its business needs TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
        • This position requires frequent travel with occasional overnight stays
        • Must meet driver s license and driver eligibility requirements of the Company
        • Must have current auto liability insurance
