Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dynamic team. This role involves working under the supervision of our occupational therapists to provide patient-focused rehabilitation in a variety of settings including inpatient, home health, and hospice environments. The OTA will assist patients in developing, recovering, improving, and maintaining the skills needed for daily living and working, based on prescribed therapeutic modalities. Assist Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and creating treatment plans. Help patients perform specific exercises as part of the therapeutic process. Prepare equipment and treatment areas for use by patients. Educate patients and family members about proper safe techniques to assist in recuperation and skills enhancement. Record patient's progress and feedback for the supervising therapist. Maintain therapy equipment and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness guidelines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and patient management. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation. Capability to handle physical tasks and to assist patients physically when required. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). State licensure as an OTA (as required).
